THE TEAM

THE TEAM

The I.C.E. Medical Rescue staff contingent is composed of highly motivated emergency care personnel holding different levels of qualifications each bringing useful skill sets ranging from emergency medical care to technical rescue response at basic to advanced levels. Each of the staff in our organisation are multi-skilled and constantly encouraged to continue developing new skills going forwards. Members of the I.C.E. Medical Rescue team also actively volunteer with the National Sea Rescue Institute and other voluntary as well as state sanctioned rescue organisations.

All clinical practice undertaken by the I.C.E. Medical Rescue and My Medic business units is constantly audited by our own clinical governance committee to ensure that any risks to patients are mitigated with the aim toward delivery and maintenance of first world medical care standards. International procedures are adhered to by all members of the team while continual skills maintenance programs are conducted alongside our internal audits by way of risk mitigation processes again aimed at creating a safer patient care flow. Case management by the I.C.E. dedicated clinical governance committee ensures that all of the legally required Continual Professional Development objectives for our staff are being met.

All of the I.C.E. Medical Rescue team members are all afforded equal opportunity to attend internationally accredited courses and seminars focused on the development of knowledge related to ever changing clinical trends within the emergency care field.
Due to the perception within the broader industrial setting that I.C.E. Medical Rescue is not only a compliant but effectively a fully competent emergency service provider, our team members are regularly called on to present relevant training and or talks at corporate safety indabas. Our staff members have addressed the ESCOM annual national safety meeting, the Transnet Ports Authority quarterly safety forum as well as numbers of local safety committees and safety forums.

The mining and industrial spaces are not new environments to I.C.E. Medical Rescue, having historically placed ourselves within the niche that the specific challenges associated with these spaces create, resulting in a firm underpinning of our operational strength. A spin off of our work in the mining sector is My Medic.

My Medic is a user friendly approach to a personalised paramedic service offered to the industrial sectors which our company serves the unique strength of the My Medic product lays in the relationship which the assigned paramedics generate with the safety and risk management staff as well as the general workforce within the areas of service. History has taught us that when matters of importance are discussed trust is imperative to proper communication and that trust is only ever a by-product of a good relationship it is never automatic.
Events risk management is another of the areas in which our teams outclass most of our peers, a carefully considered and designed smooth transition from concept to planning and finally hosting of events is the I.C.E. Medical Rescue advantage.
